The Story
The Story
The Hollow Way did not end beneath the Black Oak.
It wandered onward through the woodland until, at the break of dawn, it reached the quiet waters of the beck.
Before the village awoke and before the first smoke rose from cottage chimneys, the beck belonged to the morning.
Its clear waters wound gently between moss-covered stones before disappearing into the wide-open fens. For generations it had nourished the valley, offering fresh water to every creature that called Hawthorn home.
The Reader was often the first to arrive.
As dawn broke across the horizon, he would sit upon the riverbank in silence, watching the first light dance across the water while mist drifted gently above its surface.
He believed the beck carried more than water.
"It remembers every season," he once told a young traveller.
"Every fallen leaf, every spring rain, every reflection."
"Like us, it is always moving... yet it never forgets where it began."
As the sun climbed higher, the cool morning air filled with the scent of clear water, soft white musk and warm amber carried upon the first light of day.
It was a fragrance that spoke not of grandeur, but of quiet beginnings—fresh, comforting and full of promise.
People soon made a habit of walking the Hollow Way at first light.
Some came to gather water.
Others simply came to watch the sunrise mirrored upon the gentle current.
Whatever burdens they carried, they seemed lighter as they returned home.
In time, this peaceful place became known as The Beck at Dawn, where every new morning reminded the people of Hawthorn that every journey, no matter how difficult, could begin again.

Our wax melts are carefully crafted to deliver a rich and lasting fragrance. To enjoy the very best performance, consider the following:
Room Size
Larger or open-plan spaces naturally require more fragrance to fill the room. For the best scent throw in these areas, using more than one wax burner may be beneficial.
Fragrance Choice
We use the highest fragrance load our wax can safely hold. As every fragrance is made from a unique blend of ingredients, some scents will naturally be lighter or stronger than others.
Wax Burner
Your choice of wax burner plays an important role in fragrance performance. Burners that become too hot, or have only a short distance between the tealight and the melting dish, can cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly. For the best results, we recommend using a wax melt burner with approximately 10cm between the tealight flame and the melting dish, allowing the wax to melt gently and release its fragrance gradually.
