The Story
Beyond the Old Farm Gate, the fields slowly gave way to wide-open marshland, where the rivers met the sea.
Here, the land seemed to breathe with the tide.
Silver channels wound through tall reeds, weathered driftwood rested upon the shoreline, and vast skies stretched far beyond the distant horizon.
It was a place that never looked quite the same twice.
Yet somehow, it always felt familiar.
Whenever the Reader wished to look beyond the valley, he followed the winding paths to the salt marsh.
There he would stand where fresh water became salt, watching the tide quietly erase the footprints left upon the sand before returning once more with the turning of the sea.
"The land teaches us to put down roots," he once told a young fisherman.
"But the sea reminds us that every journey begins with the courage to leave them."
As dawn broke across the coast, small fishing boats drifted quietly with the morning tide while seabirds wheeled effortlessly upon the wind.
The air carried the clean scent of rock salt and fresh sea air, softened by sun-bleached driftwood resting along the shore.
It was a fragrance of freedom.
Of wide horizons.
Of journeys waiting to be taken.
People rarely hurried when they reached the marsh.
Some wandered the shoreline collecting smooth shells shaped by the sea.
Others simply stood among the reeds, listening to the gentle whisper of the tide as it rose and fell.
Many believed the sea carried away the worries they no longer wished to keep, leaving only what truly mattered behind.
The Reader understood why.
No place reminded a person more clearly that the world was far greater than the valley alone.
Though the Black Oak remained the heart of Hawthorn, the salt marsh marked the edge of its world.
And so it became known as The Salt Marsh by the Sea...
A place where every ending quietly became the beginning of another journey.

Our wax melts are carefully crafted to deliver a rich and lasting fragrance. To enjoy the very best performance, consider the following:
Room Size
Larger or open-plan spaces naturally require more fragrance to fill the room. For the best scent throw in these areas, using more than one wax burner may be beneficial.
Fragrance Choice
We use the highest fragrance load our wax can safely hold. As every fragrance is made from a unique blend of ingredients, some scents will naturally be lighter or stronger than others.
Wax Burner
Your choice of wax burner plays an important role in fragrance performance. Burners that become too hot, or have only a short distance between the tealight and the melting dish, can cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly. For the best results, we recommend using a wax melt burner with approximately 10cm between the tealight flame and the melting dish, allowing the wax to melt gently and release its fragrance gradually.
